ITEM DESCRIPTION

This Pair of Archimede Seguso Murano Glass Red & Gold Aventurine Candlesticks is in Excellent Vintage Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Fleabites. Made in Murano, Italy, these beautiful matching candlesticks date to approximately 1960 and each measures approximately 4 1/2\" tall.

The candlesticks feature brilliant red art glass accented with shimmering gold aventurine. Each has a low rounded bowl-shaped body with a raised candle socket, an applied looping handle, and a circular pedestal foot.

The gold aventurine decoration adds a rich sparkling effect throughout the design, especially in the applied handles and bases. The combination of vivid red glass and metallic gold creates a dramatic Mid-Century Italian art glass appearance.

These substantial candlesticks display the sculptural form, bold coloration, and decorative glass techniques associated with Murano glass of this period.

PATTERN & DESIGN

These Archimede Seguso candlesticks feature a distinctive Mid-Century Murano design combining rounded sculptural bodies with applied looping handles and pedestal feet.

The vivid red glass is complemented by sparkling gold aventurine, a decorative glass technique in which metallic particles create a shimmering effect within the glass. The gold aventurine handles and bases provide a striking contrast against the rich red bodies.

Offered as a matching pair, these large 4 1/2\" candlesticks make an impressive display. Their unusual handled form, bold red and gold coloration, and classic Murano styling make them especially appealing to collectors of Archimede Seguso and Mid-Century Italian art glass.
