Painted in 1923, Komposition is an oil on burlap structured from rectangular fields, linear bands and a prominent concentric circular form. Segal uses black and dark green areas as a framework for smaller passages of red, yellow, blue, white and gray. Christie\'s records the work as signed at lower left, dated 1923 at lower right, and included in the 1987 Herzogenrath and Liška publication on Segal.
