The case was opened only for a visual inspection. The interior is clean, and I found no obvious signs of damage, repairs, or modifications.
Operation
- Powers on and the power indicator light illuminates.
- When switched on, the FAILURElight and audible buzzer activate and can be cleared by pressing the RESET button. (I believe this is normal operation, but I cannot confirm.)
- As the output control is rotated, the panel meter increases smoothly from 0 to approximately 1,500 VAC.
- Beyond approximately the halfway point of the control's rotation, the panel meter does not indicate above approximately 1,500 VAC, even though the meter scale is marked to 3,000 VAC. I do not know whether this is normal operation or indicates that the unit requires service or calibration.
- The output control has a noticeable rough spot around the same point in its rotation.
