This is an original World War II–era leather photo album (no pictures) acquired by a U.S. serviceman stationed in China. The front cover features a beautifully hand‑tooled design of Tsingtao Pier, flanked by two dragons and traditional Asian motifs. These embossed China‑theater albums were popular among U.S. Navy and Marine personnel serving on the Asiatic Station, but Tsingtao‑specific covers are far less common.
