A Mac-Daddy of signed movie and celebrity items, especially if you’re a fan of the late-great Bill Paxton and or/ of James Cameron & his film ‘True Lies’. Bill passed roughly 7 months after he signed this item.
Purchased from the collector who attended the Texas Comicpalooza in 2016 and was ingenious enough to pre-purchase a 1:24 scale Classic ‘59 Corvette in the same color combo as the Vette seen in True Lies to get Bill to sign. The autograph house ‘Celebrity Authentics’ administered the celebrity signature authentication process, witnessing each signature and tagging the signed item with a numbered holo sticker, seen adhered to the Vette’s front windshield.
I then purchased it from him back in 2017 here on .
Bill signed his name and character’s name ‘Simon’ from True Lies on the trunk, but then had gone even further and signed his famous movie tag line on the front of the base ‘The Vet gets ‘em wet” - all in gold marker. “A ONE OF A KIND Celebrity Authentic S90741 signed replica of the 1959 Corvette from the 1994 movie True Lies. He couldn't resist writing his tag line from the movie on the platform in front of the car as shown in the picture. Bill Paxton loved signing this car that day. Bill was a great guy and genuinely liked fan interaction. So he was being a great guy, talking, shaking hands, personalizing signatures, and adding movie quotes and character names on posters and photos. Celebrity Authentics who was running the show was becoming exasperated with the process (as the crowd was large and it was late) and signaled him to hurry it up and to stop inscribing and personalizing, "just flat signatures!" They were screaming to the crowd and him. *As I neared him I knew I had something different as most people were having Aliens, Terminator, or a few Twister things signed. I slid the car to him from across the table and I said, "here you go something different the car from True Lies!" He busted out in laughter and signed it then sneakily looked over his shoulder at the CA promoters and signed "Simon". As he was doing this he was quoting the line and laughing as we made small talk as you do at these events. He slid the car back in my direction as I reached for it he pulled it back and said, "F#*% it, I can't pass this up!", and he wrote the quote. I shook his hand and grabbed the car and walked away. I was putting the car back in the box when I heard the woman from CA telling him to stop inscribing. To which he said, " Hey that was awesome, I'm sorry I wasn't passing that up that's the best thing I've seen all day."*

The ticket/pass to the convention where Bill signed the Vette depicts the image of Bill, as shown in the listing’s pics and is of course included in/with this listing.
The Vette is from MotorMax Premium Diecast and their American Classics line, and is just over 7 inches in length (1/24th scale). The Vette is mint, and still affixed to the base. Box shows wear from handling in travel/taking it for Bill’s signature at that 2016 Comicpalooza Celebrity convention. Has been stored and untouched since my subsequent purchase in 2017.
