selling as is in as is conditionup for sale are the twins donald and douglas made by bachmann. ill go into as much detail for each engine as i can.
so just a heads up i got all the parts for these 2 and had to put em together like a puzzle, so keep that in mind while reading.Donald #9: in terms of cosmetic quality both him and douglas are in pretty good shape, donald in particular hasn\'t had a chance to be fully run in for 1 reason, these engines NEED 22\" radius curves or greater otherwise they WILL derail left and right, yes my track layout isnt the best but these 2 Love to derail so i couldn\'t really run him in properly. His decoder is a loksound 5 micro DCC decoder, he does have a speaker but idk if he was programmed properly or not because the sound comes and goes so definitely will need a good settings tweak if you have a programming track. He does have a keep alive but you will need to re solder it because the members at my local club tried to put a plug for it so you could disconnect it for programming purposes but it just causes it to short out, it will be shipped without it plugged in, it does at least move but it has a tendency to pause while in motion probably due to not being properly run in.douglas #10: out of the 2 of them this one definitely runs better, i configured my layout to accommodate him specifically and i was able to get him to run, he runs pretty good and cosmeticly is also in good condition. the solder job on this one definitely isn\'t the cleanest, my solder work is definitely lacking 😅 but he works, he has a soundtraxx dcc decoder with a keepalive plugged in that actually works, he does have a speaker but you will need a new one as this one had burned out, its an iphone 14 louspeaker, if you need a pic i can send one.overall these are definitely great models if you use the proper track radius. if you have any questions please ask before you buy, the longer this stays up if i can get to my club i will see what issues on donald i can have my club members fix before it sells, but 100% message me about it before you buy and i can let you know if i fixed it or not.
