This is a beautiful antique German bisque socket head doll. Back of head is marked Made in Germany D 8. No damage, cracks or repairs to head. She is an early alphabet series Kestner doll. She has a blonde mohair wig with original pate. Brown sleepy eyes with all eyelid paint in tact. Sleepy eyes work well. Upper and lower painted lashes and feathered brows. This darling little girl has a closed mouth which makes her even more desirable. Dimpled chin. Her bisque face is wonderful with nice rosy bisque coloring on cheeks. She is on an antique composition jointed body. Body is in very good condition with original finish. Body is marked Excelsior Germany 0 1/2. Stringing is very good. She is wearing an antique yellow flowered dress with layers of antique white cotton undergarments. Mustard colored socks and antique black shoes with buckle accents. The buckle on one shoe has come off and needs to be stitched back on, shoes and buckle will be in small baggie and sent with doll. This doll is beautiful and in pristine condition.
