Bitossi Aldo Londi Ceramic Horse Italy MCM Large 10\" Vintage Rare:
$450.00
Vintage MCM made in Italy Aldo Londi terracotta horse sculpture made by Bitossi for Rosenthal Netter. Bitossi is a 100+ years old pottery studio in Italy that under Londi\'s guidance produced a number of coveted mid century designs (many of which being horses) in the 1950s that are coveted by MCM collectors. This Terracotta portly pony is rare due to its raw unglazed terracotta form (Londi would use colors and glazes in his later work). original stickers are intact on base of statue besides the \"made in italy\" sticker which seems to have fallen off. statue is in mint condition with no chips or cracks.Horse measures roughly 10 in long, 9.5 in tall, and 3.5 in wide.
