Bolivia 100 Bolivianos L.1928 P-125 ~ Rare large Banknote ~ AU
This is an exceptionally rare early issue Bolivian banknote, issued by the Banco Central de Bolivia in 1928, representing a classic era of Latin American banknote engraving.
Printed by the American Bank Note Company, this large-format note showcases outstanding intaglio detail, elegant portraits, and a finely engraved central vignette — hallmarks of high-quality early 20th-century banknote production.
🔹 Denomination: 100 Bolivianos
🔹 Country: Bolivia
🔹 Year: 1928
🔹 Issuer: Banco Central de Bolivia
🔹 Printer: American Bank Note Company
🔹 Type: Large size historic banknote
🔹 Rarity: Very scarce issue – rarely offered in this condition
Despite its age, the note retains excellent visual presence, strong paper integrity, and crisp engraved detail. It looks significantly better in hand than in photographs, with a natural patina consistent with genuine circulation and age — something advanced collectors truly appreciate.
This is not a modern reissue or replica, but an authentic historical artifact from Bolivia’s early monetary system. Notes from this series are increasingly difficult to find, especially complete and visually appealing examples like this one.
A highly desirable piece for:
• Serious world banknote collectors
• Latin American currency specialists
• Pre-WWII large-size note enthusiasts
• Historic ABNC engraving admirers
