Henle Urtext edition of Johannes Brahms’s Two Rhapsodies, Op. 79, for solo piano.
Composed in 1879, these substantial Romantic-period works include the Rhapsody in B minor, marked Agitato, and the Rhapsody in G minor, marked Molto passionato, ma non troppo allegro.
The Rhapsodies appear in advanced diploma repertoire: the current Henle edition is associated with ABRSM ARSM, while Trinity lists both works together at LTCL level.
Edited by Monica Steegmann, with piano fingering by Walter Georgii. This is the earlier Henle HN 119 edition, subsequently replaced by the revised HN 1251 edition.
