Black Knight Ram Pair (Male & Female) – 1” Minimum

Beautiful true Black Knight Rams shipped from SanDiego. These subadults measure at least 1 inch head-to-tail and aresold as confirmed male and female.

Black Knight Rams are a striking dwarf cichlid with a moderatetemperament, making them suitable for aquarists of all experiencelevels. They thrive both in species only tanks and peaceful tropicalcommunity setups.

Important Breeding Information

This listing is NOT for a proven breeding pair, thisis a male + female pair. Breeding pair is the industry term for a male and female fish that capable of breeding. A proven breeding pair is a pair of fish that have spawned together (which this is not a listing for).

If you are specifically attempting to breed Black KnightRams, I strongly recommend:

• Purchasing a group of 6, or
• Waiting for one of my proven breeding pairs, listed separately when available

Because shipping costs are significant, re-ordering canbecome expensive if a juvenile pair does not bond or breed.

True Full-Black Lineage (Not Mixed)

These are double black / double dark / full blackrams and have NOT been crossed with German Blue Rams.

Many sellers do not disclose cross-breeding, which resultsin adults lacking solid black coloration.

Always examine listing photos carefully when shopping forblack rams. Ensure they have multiple photos displaying their full black colorand aren\'t stock images.

My photos are of my stock of rams, not the parents. Thefish you receive may be younger then the photos, and may have a lighter belly,this is normal for their age, and will darken as they grow older.

• I ship only on Monday to avoid weekend delays (If you have a special request let me know and I should be able to accommodate)
• Order by Sunday morning for Monday shipment, otherwise it will be delayed to the following week.
• Estimated arrival: Tuesday–Thursday depending on selected shipping method
• estimates are inaccurate, they will say the estimated arrival is much longer, this is to account for any delays by buyer request or weather. Initial tracking time estimates are sometimes also incorrect, please wait a few hours after drop off for them to update. If there are any issues please do not hesitate to reach out.

Fish are packed in an insulated box with heat packwhen needed, using oxygen-filled fish bags

When receiving your fish please open the box in a dimly litroom so they may adjust to the light. I recommend a slow drip acclimation andif possible add a air to bubbler to their container while acclimating to ensurethe water is properly oxygenated, my water is extremely soft; please if youhave hard water be extra careful to slowly acclimate them.

Shipments may be delayed due to postal holidays orextreme weather to ensure safe arrival.

These rams adapt well to most dechlorinated U.S. tapwater when properly acclimated. I recommend drip acclimating over atleast an hour if your hardness or pH are significantly different then mine.

Parameters fish were raised in:

• Temp: 79°F
• pH: 6.5
• TDS: 150 ppm
• dGH: 3

I have also bred these rams successfully in hardwater (TDS ~400), if you have hard water please be especially carefulin slowly acclimating them.

Diet

I feed daily with a varied diet of:

• Quality flakes
• Bloodworms
• Brine shrimp
• GP Advanced Pellets

Tank Mates

I have successfully kept them in a community tank with:

• Angelfish
• Discus
• Various tetras
• Bristle nose plecos
• German Blue Rams

Rams are generally peaceful with each other, however, theywill fights amongst themselves especially if they pair up.
