British Ministry of Defense pattern survival knife manufactured by J. Adams and dated 1999.
The blade is clearly marked “4240-99-127-8214 / J ADAMS 1999” along with the British Broad Arrow acceptance/property marking. The full 13-digit marking is the NATO Stock Number associated with the British MOD survival knife pattern.
This extremely robust fixed-blade design features heavy full-tang construction, dark synthetic/phenolic-type handle scales secured by three large rivets, steel guard and lanyard hole.
Includes the heavy brown leather belt sheath shown in the photographs with retaining strap, riveted construction and stitched blade section.
Condition: Good pre-owned estate condition with visible age, storage and use wear. The blade shows surface discoloration, scratches, finish wear and other marks. The original stamped markings remain readable. Handle scales remain intact with scratches and handling wear. The leather sheath remains functional and complete with visible scuffs, scratches and storage wear.
