Biography from Altermann Galleries and saleeers: ChristopherPardell began sculpting at the age of four, and by his teenage years, he hadcome to the realization that sculpting was to become his life\'s work.Influenced by the work of sculptors Russell, Remington and Rodin, Pardellwanted to pursue his passion for realism.
His formal education was laid aside in favor of anapprentice moldmaker position with a commercial statuary company, and it wasthere that he received what he considers to be his \"real education inart.\" As an apprentice to the Italian master artisans who ran thestatuary, Christopher rapidly learned the skills that would enable him tobecome a skilled sculptor. Never sketching his designs on paper, Christophercomposes all of his work in three dimensions, in a maquette.
Cast bronze, fine pewter, brass, copper, 24-karat goldvermeil and hand painted highlights on a revolving rouge marble base.
