sale is a genuine vintage Centennial Legion of Historic Military Commands commemorative/membership medal. Founded on July 4, 1876, in Philadelphia during the U.S. Centennial, this patriotic organization united historic military units from the original thirteen states following the Civil War.
Design Highlights:
• Front (Obverse): Features a highly detailed American eagle and shield motif prominently encircled by the stamped text \"CENTENNIAL LEGION\".

The design pays direct homage to the famous 1776 Continental Dollar.
• Ribbon: Suspended from its original, draped dark reddish-purple fabric ribbon.
