The CeramicSpeed BB ALPHA Bottom Bracket is designed for MTB frames with a BB92 shell (41mm internal diameter) and a shell width of 89.5 to 92mm. It is compatible with DUB spindles and comes in black. This bottom bracket offers reduced friction for improved power transfer and longer product life, backed by a lifetime warranty.
Compared to the original CeramicSpeed BB, the BB ALPHA is 10% lighter and features DUB-specific cups that require fewer spacers for proper setup. It uses stainless steel races for increased durability and incorporates refined light contact seals that provide five times more protection against contaminants without adding drag. The dust cover design has been improved to extend longevity and reduce maintenance needs.
The bearing assembly includes hand-built grade-3 Silicon Nitride ceramic balls supported by hardened stainless steel races that resist corrosion. Bearings are positioned further out in the cup, allowing the stiff POM plastic dust covers to sit flush with the cup\'s edge, minimizing debris penetration. The spacer tube design is simplified, and the cups are made from lightweight 7075 aluminum for quick installation and overall weight reduction.
The bottom bracket comes pre-greased with CeramicSpeed UFO Long Life grease (5ml) for enhanced performance and durability. Weight of the unit is 76 grams.
