The front flap is still price-marked “net $3.27.” The book has attractive light-blue reinforced library-edition boards.Although the copyright page states Copyright 1952, this is a later Harper & Row/Harper Crest Library Edition and is not being represented as a 1952 first edition or first printing.Condition: Overall Good to Very Good vintage condition. The hardcover boards are quite clean and attractive with relatively light wear. Binding appears solid and interior pages appear clean and well preserved for their age. There is a previous owner’s name written in pen on the front endpaper.The original dust jacket is complete and displays very nicely, but does show age and use, including edge wear, small chips/tears, creasing and rubbing, particularly around the spine ends, corners and folds. The jacket retains strong color and the classic Garth Williams artwork. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are part of the condition description.I do not see typical institutional library markings such as a card pocket, checkout slip, call-number label or library stamps. The “Harper Crest Library Edition” marking refers to the publisher’s reinforced library binding.A very attractive older copy of one of the most beloved American children’s books, particularly nice for a Charlotte’s Web, E.B.
