Product Details

• Fits most Government-size (full-size) 1911 platforms
• Redesigned lower-profile panel: same overall thickness as our previous grips, still modeled after the Springfield panel shape, but with a shallower curve — this reduces (but doesn\'t eliminate) edge fade and gives noticeably cleaner detail and better support for black backgrounds and monochrome art. • Full-color print covers the entire face of both panels; edges stay white since printing doesn\'t wrap around; look at listing photos to see how the images fade near the edges.

Artwork Tips

Resolution & File Quality

• Submit true 1080p or higher — not a smaller image upscaled/resized to fit. Upsampled files print soft and blurry.
• Avoid compressed or low-quality JPEGs. Compression artifacts (blocky gradients, banding) become more visible once printed on the grip.
• Filters like grain, retro, vignette, or film effects can distort unpredictably in the edge fade zone.

Curve & Edge Fade

• Our new panel design has a shallower curve than our previous grips, which reduces edge fade — but due to the curved surface, the outer edge of the panel will still naturally fade/distort somewhat in the UV printing process.
• Keep your main subject and any fine detail centered on the panel, well inside that zone.
• Avoid complex shapes, sharp lines, or small text near the outer edge or near screw holes.

Placement

• The customizer mockup is a placement guide, not pixel-exact. Actual print placement can vary ±1-2mm from what\'s shown.
• Preview your full layout in the customizer before submitting.

Color

• Monochrome (black & white) and black-background images translate to a curved surface less predictably than full-color art, because black is built from layered cyan, magenta, yellow, and K ink rather than a single flat tone — as the surface curves away from the print head, those layers can lose registration and shift, which shows up as fading, banding, or a slight color cast in what should be pure black or gray.
• Our new, shallower-curve panel significantly reduces this effect compared to our previous design, so black backgrounds and monochrome art hold up much better — but some fading near the outer edge is still expected. See listing photos for examples.
