Kurt is best known for his work in Black Sheep and Steeler as the only guy who could replace the mighty Swedde Yngwie Malmsteen later following in his footsteps with Graham Bonnet and he shows off his talent to themax on this unbridled recording .
Deen joined Tony Macalpine and was soon snapped up by Bad English the grammy award wiinning band feat7ring John Waite and Neal Schon ( and later joinning Journey for more than a decade ) andkicked iff his amazing career as an arean drummer
I found deen in 1982 playing to people in a club downtowna and we became fast frineds Jay Reynolds the Founder of Atlantic artists Malice was living in my basement and we hjhad deen play on the firts Malice demos before Wild Dogs was really a band he joined us later with great "hesitancy" of the other Dogs who tghought he played too much overplayed and was uncontrollable well he puts those thiongs to the test hewr eon this record that features the only studio solo by the now famous drummer.
I was the one guy in wild dogs who liked the hard and fast music of motorhead and i was the biggest fan of yngwie right frm the start while he was still in sweden! Mike varney tried to get him to play on the record but was in demand and too busy for the time we had mapped out
so paul Gilbert was next up and he too was not local and had visions of his own and Kurt was the guy he was just perfect ,our mutual love of hendrix meshed well
and away we went this band began as Evil Genius a 2 guitar attack that ffeatuired the lead ghuitarist on the Malkice sessions Kip doran ( if you buy this cd i will give you a secret link to hthat album! for free) as a bonus thank you gift ! we were trying to create a new iimage and persona for me and we succeeeded (in the style of gene simmons- and a character akin to king diamond well that was our intetnit but what we came out with was more like motorjhead meets rising force and the record went to number 1 in the kerrang charts and was on CBS and roadrunner and featured n every magazine in europe for
be the bulk of the third wild dogs album but was told the songs were too heavy andnot commerial enough!
and since it never came out on cd in america i have been offering this for the better part of 20 years and now i offer it again to you with new pics made by the nice folks at diskfaktory who gotme my start on the record biz
