This is a 1720's ish print with California not an island and the elongated Northwest coast named Costa Terra Borealis with credit to Dom. Ioanne de Gama. Nicely hand colored. Professionally framed and matted ready to hang.
Overall map appears in nice condition. It has not been examined outside the frame. There is a four inch crease or small tear lower right, a bit more folding damage than would be expected at bottom of crease down middle where this was folded and in an atlas. Some minor dings around edges of map. Other small dings visible but not significant. Frame has some dings to wood but very minor. Visible image approximately 20 x 23. Including frame approximately 31 x 34 inches.
