An Edwardian Bodice or Top in a size X-Small (perhaps a size 2?) It is made of Ivory colored silk and it is fully lined in cotton. It is an original Antique Vintage Piece with Lots of Beading and Embroidery. Concerning the beads, some feel like glass and some feel like they are of a lighter material. I am not sure. There are plastic stays in the collar that have discolored to a yellowish gold.
It is a beautiful bodice and a work of art but has not been well taken care of. Please be aware and inspect the pics carefully for issues and quality concerns. There are holes from what I think were moths, stains and discoloring.
For taking the pics, I stuffed it a little with white tissue paper so you could see the design a bit better.
I would recommend it not be worn as it is a bit fragile. However, it would be great as a museum display or study for reproduction purposes. It really is an overall beautiful piece and deserves a nice new home with some TLC.
