Up for sale is a vintage Effanbee baby doll measuring approximately 16 inches. The head and limbs are composition with the “EFFANBEE” mark embossed on the back of the neck. The body is cloth stuffed, typical of the era. The doll has glass/celluloid sleep eyes and a cry box inside the body that is non-functional.
Condition details — please read and view all photos before purchasing:
∙ Composition head shows crazing, surface scratches, and paint loss/discoloration on the crown (oxidized orange/amber tone on top of head)
∙ Some small cracks visible near one eye area
∙ Cloth body has age spotting/foxing (brown spots visible on torso)
∙ Original period clothing included: knit sacque sweater with pink ribbon tie, white cotton gown/christening dress, and diaper with safety pin — all with age-appropriate wear and soiling
∙ Cry box does not function
This is a well-loved antique doll sold as-is for display, collection, or restoration. Great candidate for a collector who wants a project piece or an authentic display doll with original clothing.
