Attractive Victorian decorative edition featuring an unusual burgundy padded leather binding with ornate gilt lettering, embossed bamboo decoration, gilt page edges, and patterned green endpapers.
The padded leather covers retain their soft, cushioned feel and spring back when gently pressed. The spine is firm, and both boards remain securely attached.
Condition:age-related rubbing and wear to the exterior leather, particularly along the spine, edges, and corners, with leather loss at the upper spine. The green decorative front endpaper adjacent to the board is detached and included. Interior pages are generally clean and well preserved, with some occasional discoloration. The main binding remains firm and stable.
