A pre-war to wartime presentation of Emeraude de Coty in pure parfum, complete with its original patterned box.
Created by François Coty in 1921, Emeraude is one of the founding ambers of modern perfumery: bright citrus over a heart of jasmine and rose, settling into a warm, resinous drydown of vanilla, benzoin, opopanax, and sandalwood. It's often cited as the template that Guerlain's Shalimar would refine four years later. Vintage parfum from this era shows the composition at its richest, before later reformulations thinned it out.
The bottle: Ribbed glass flacon with gold-tone cap and black-and-gold "Emeraude de Coty" label, seated on a clear sunburst-pressed display base. Fill is high.
The box: Original Coty box in teal, white, and gold leaf print with black card-suit accents. The "Emeraude" and "Coty" bands show lifting, tearing, and edge wear, consistent with age. Structurally intact.
Condition notes: Perfume is very well preserved with real magic in heart and base notes. The display base has some discoloration and residue at one corner (pictured). Please review all photos, as they're part of the description.
