The first half of Everclear’s ambitious two-album Songs from an American Movie project. Includes “Wonderful,” “AM Radio,” “Learning How to Smile,” “Thrift Store Chair,” “Otis Redding,” “Unemployed Boyfriend,” “Annabella’s Song” and the title track, among others. The album shows the band exploring a more melodic and reflective side while retaining their alternative-rock sound.
Everclear – Songs from an American Movie Vol. Two: Good Time for a Bad Attitude (2000)
The companion album to Volume One, released later the same year and leaning back toward Everclear’s harder-edged rock sound. Tracks include “When It All Goes Wrong Again,” “Slide,” “Babytalk,” “Rock Star,” “Short Blonde Hair,” “Misery Whip,” “Out of My Depth,” “The Good Witch of the North,” “Overwhelming,” “All Fed Up”* and “Song from an American Movie Pt. 2.”

Together, these three CDs provide an excellent snapshot of Everclear’s turn-of-the-millennium output and are an especially nice collection for fans of ’90s/2000s alternative rock, post-grunge and power pop.
