The dual-action formula contains fipronil (9.8%) and (S)-methoprene (8.8%). Fipronil kills adult fleas, ticks, and chewing lice by disrupting their central nervous system, while (S)-methoprene is an insect growth regulator that prevents flea eggs and larvae from developing into adults. Together, these ingredients break the flea life cycle and provide long-lasting protection.
The topical solution absorbs through the skin and collects in the oil glands, spreading across the entire body surface within 24 hours. It kills adult fleas within 12 hours of application and continues working for a full 30 days per dose. The waterproof formula remains effective even after bathing or swimming. Frontline Plus protects against brown dog ticks, American dog ticks, Lone Star ticks, and deer ticks, and may also help control sarcoptic mange.
For application, part the fur between the shoulder blades and apply the full contents of one applicator directly to the skin. Wait 48 hours before bathing after application.
