A Really Fabulous Pair of Antique George V novelty knife rests crafted in sterling silver with carved mother-of-pearl wings. Each rest is modelled as a stylised winged orb supported above a shaped filled silver base.
The outstretched wings are finely carved with linear feather details that enhance their sculptural appearance. The pair is presented in their original fitted case with deep blue velvet recesses and a cream silk-lined lid. Hallmarked for Sheffield, 1913.
