The TC48 Pipe Clamp Thermocouple, Type K is used to take temperatures from medium to large pipes or any other cylindrical surface within its 3/4\" to 4 1/8\" jaw range. Using a pipe clamp thermocouple makes taking superheat or subcooling measurements much easier. Because the clamp is designed for HVAC/R, its clamping ability allows it to measure temperatures of pipes that are fixed, at any angle, to walls or other surfaces. Pipe temperatures stabilize in seconds and react to adjustments just as quickly.
