Fine Small Chinese Archaistic Bronze Hu Vase – Qing Dynasty, C.19th Century
Brief Description:
This is a charming and beautifully patinated small 19th-century Chinese bronze vase of archaistic Hu form, dating from the Qing Dynasty.
Of wonderfully restrained design, the vase has a rounded pear-shaped body rising to a gently waisted neck, flanked by a pair of integral loop handles suspending free-moving bronze rings.
The bronze has developed a particularly attractive aged surface, displaying deep brown and olive tones together with reddish patination and occasional traces of verdigris consistent with age.
The vase is presented upon a finely turned and carved fitted hardwood display stand, which complements the bronze beautifully.

The vase is offered in good antique condition, with surface wear, variations in colour, patination and areas of oxidation commensurate with its considerable age.
There is a small indentation on one side - see images.
