Fisher 500-B Tube FM Stereo Receiver for Repair Parts or Restoration For Sale

Here\'s another Fisher 500-B Tube FM Stereo Receiver acquired from the family of the owner. Although this one actually powers up, it definitely needs work. I tested \"power up\" and both dial lamps illuminate, I used VTM to test for voltage at the dial lamps. This receiver belonged to a \"tube seller\". The 70–75-year-old owner would find, buy, collect all kinds of tube electronics. He would remove the tubes and other small parts and sell them for profit. He had stacks of tube equipment missing their dedicated tubes. I found copied UseNet internet for sale pages, bulletin board sales along with the early days of receipts where he sold sets of tubes and also single tubes. This Fisher receiver is one of the many discarded units. I will be listing more tube equipment missing tubes in the future. The dial cord is snapped. As can be seen in the sale photos, the knobs and tuning tube are also missing. I removed the bottom cover and took a few pictures so you can see what you\'re getting.Although this receiver powers up working condition is suspect since it can\'t be tested in its present condition.The face plate has scuffs on both top corners and some small marks here and there. Lettering and graphics are bright and intact.The \"AC OFF \" is still visible.The dial numbering looks to be in great shape. Chassis has some tarnish spots and marks. Virtually all vintage electronics can be restored with time and know how. Due to the above stated, this Fisher tube stereo receiver is offered non-working for repair, parts, or restoration and sold as is.
