ITEM DESCRIPTION
Upgrade your 10R80 rebuild with a CDF drum featuring our pinned and welded sleeve-retention modification.
At Domestic Drive Line Repair, we added retaining pins and welded them to both the drum and the internal sleeve/bushing. This modification is designed to secure the sleeve against migration and help prevent the associated hydraulic pressure loss.
CORE REQUIRED — $25 CORE REFUND
This item is sold on an exchange basis. Return of your old 10R80 CDF drum is required.
The purchase price includes a $25 refundable core deposit. Once we receive your returned core, we will issue a $25 partial refund through your original order.
Please contact us through messages for core-return instructions. Include your name and order number with the returned drum so we can match it to your purchase.
MODIFICATION DETAILS
• Added retaining pins to mechanically secure the internal sleeve/bushing.
• Pins welded to both the drum and sleeve/bushing.
• Designed to prevent the sleeve from moving out of position.
• Modification field-tested by Domestic Drive Line Repair, with successful operation during testing.
"Field testing" refers to our modification design and does not mean each drum offered for sale has individually been road-tested.

FITMENT
Intended for compatible Ford 10R80 transmission applications. Verify the drum’s part number, transmission version, and configuration before purchasing. Vehicle year and model alone may not establish compatibility.
If you need assistance, send us your vehicle information, transmission identification, and original drum part number or photos through transmission assembly and installation are recommended. The installer should verify clearances, lubrication passage alignment, and proper hydraulic operation during assembly.
This modification addresses CDF sleeve retention. Other transmission faults require separate diagnosis and repair.
