Features color reproductions of both sides of the Allied 5 Francs “Émis en France” note. The reverse lists Dunkirk, Mers-el-Kébir, Dakar, Syria, Madagascar and North Africa and contains anti-Allied and antisemitic propaganda.

This is a German/Vichy-era French propaganda leaflet from 1944, aimed at discrediting the Allied liberation forces and the Allied military currency introduced in France after D-Day. An archival catalog records this exact leaflet by its opening line, “Les Anglo-Américains massacrent nos hommes…” and gives its dimensions as approximately 18.5 × 26 cm.
The pictured 5 Francs “Émis en France, Série de 1944” note is used as a propaganda device, calling Allied currency worthless. The reverse contains anti-Allied and antisemitic propaganda and references Dunkirk, Mers-el-Kébir, Dakar, Syria, Madagascar and North Africa. Another surviving example records the same illustrated serial number 34417411, confirming this is a deliberately printed reproduction of the note rather than an actual banknote attached to the leaflet.
