Original vintage color lithograph by Swiss artist Fritz Rudolf Hug (1921–1989) titled Pferde mit Fohlen (Horses with Foal), dating to 1968. This large-format work depicts a grouping of three horses, including a foal, rendered with Hug’s characteristic expressive linework and layered color. Loose black drawing is combined with rich blue, brown, pale pink, and white passages to create a spontaneous, painterly composition.
The lithograph is hand signed and dated “Fritz Hug 68” in pencil at the lower right.
This particular impression is unnumbered and bears a German “Muster unverkäuflich” stamp on the reverse, meaning approximately “sample/specimen, not for sale.” Numbered examples of this same composition are documented from an edition of 150. The stamp indicates that this impression was designated as a non-retail sample or specimen rather than a standard numbered impression.

ConditionVery good vintage condition overall. The sheet is clean and well preserved with light age-related handling, light toning, and minor edge wear. Please note that the pale blue, gray, and pink areas visible along portions of the margins and near the sheet edges are part of the original printing and ink application, not folds or creases. In the full-sheet photographs, some of these irregular printed passages can initially resemble creasing; the close-up photographs of the corners and edges clearly show the ink application.
No tears, staining, or major creases observed. The reverse is stamped “Muster unverkäuflich” (sample/specimen, not for sale).
