Enjoy the nostalgia of listening to this fully updated and upgraded Panasonic RF-2800 radio. This high quality radio was made in Japan in 1978 and has FM/AM and 3 shortwave bands.
When I purchased this radio it was advertised as tested and working, but only the FM band worked. It’s because the Electrolytic Capacitors failed or dried up over time. This results in a loss of audio, signal strength, or both. Other symptoms include difficulty in tuning or a band shutting down or low sound on some bands, so all of the old Electrolytic Capacitors have been replaced with new and Fresh “Low Impedance” Hi End Capacitors with New Technology for Longer Life with a smaller size and less warming up-Less power and battery use. Also for Best Audio and Radio Reception.
All of the switches and controls have been cleaned and lubricated. The light bulb has been replaced with an LED, which makes the tuning dial much easier to view. The battery compartment is clean. The radio interior has been wiped and cleaned. The digital display is for shortwave bands only. Tested with batteries also. The radio doesn’t have the strap and batteries/manual are not included.
