Condition and Testing
Used laboratory equipment.
At the time of testing, the UPC-900 powered on normally and completed its internal startup/self-test successfully.
The following functions were observed:
- UV lamp illuminated
- UV background absorbance could be adjusted
- pH channel displayed numerical readings with the pH assembly connected
- Conductivity channel displayed numerical readings with the conductivity flow cell connected
- UV optical unit, lamp, conductivity cell, and pH assembly were connected during testing
Testing Limitations
The instrument was not tested as part of a complete ÄKTA chromatography system or during an actual chromatography run.
The following were not independently verified:
- pH accuracy against calibration buffers
- Conductivity accuracy against a known standard
- UV absorbance accuracy against a reference standard
- Long-term baseline stability
- Flow-cell leak performance under operating pressure
- Communication with a computer or UNICORN software
The observed pH and conductivity readings demonstrate channel response but should not be interpreted as calibration or verification of measurement accuracy.
Cosmetic condition shows normal signs of previous laboratory use.
