These four 1889 volumes have very attractive and heavily embossed covers in use in the latter part of the nineteenth century. The covers are in very good condition having only top spine, and to a much lesser extent, bottom spine pulls. There is minimal corner bumping. All four are tightly bound with very good adhesion to the spines. Internally the pages are unmarked and devoid of tears and stains. The outer quarter inch of pages are age/sun toned but attractively so.
The novels contained in the four volumes are: Daniel Deronda, The Mill on the Floss, Silas Marner, Middlemach, Felix Holt, The Spanish Gypsy and Jubal and Other Poems.
