Antique cross pendant made in Northern France, dating approximately from 1780 to 1830. An authentic example of traditional regional / religious jewellery.
Dimensions: approx. 5 × 3 cm
Tested silver, set with small individually mounted glass cabochons in warm honey and cognac tones. Beneath the glass, the original reflective metal foil is still preserved — a technique traditionally used to enhance the brilliance, depth and colour of the stones.
The piece retains its original early construction, with the slight irregularities characteristic of hand-crafted antique jewellery.
A very attractive piece for a collection of antique jewellery, French regional crosses, Georgian / Empire jewellery, or early devotional objects.
