Carl Giles (1916-1995) was an influential artist who published editorial cartoons in the Daily Express or Daily Mail newspapers. Each year a selection of his best cartoons was assembled and sold as a holiday annual. Each volume includes cartoons from the previous 12 month period along with a forward from various celebrities such as Margot Fonteyn, Adam Faith, Richard Attenborough, David Frost, Billy Connolly, etc. Publication of the Giles Annuals continued after his passing, with subsequent volumes pulling from many years of material. I have a wide range of Giles Annuals available. All included photos are from the actual books available for sale. Most volumes would be Good to Very Good. Some older volumes may be in a bit rougher shape, down to Acceptable condition. I have tried to include additional photos where appropriate to display notable cover wear or damage. Some volumes may have an inscription on the inside, and may have had the lower right price corner clipped for gift-giving. Where multiple copies are available I will fill any orders using the best copy first. These books would be a great addition to any collection of British culture, politics and memorabilia and might be a good gift for any British ex-pat who\'d like a chuckle recalling the foibles of British life in the later years of the 20th century.
