Wedgwood Embossed Queen\'s Ware 4\" Square Wedgwood Blue Trinket Box
Made in England, Circa 1950\'s
Dimensions: 4\" Square, 2\" High
This is \'Queen\'s Ware\', meaning it is glazed Wedgwood.
Features on the lid two goddesses, one standing with a staff, one sitting with what appears to be a stringed instrument or a cage, facing a standing god with his hands clasped in front of him looking down at them.
On sides of trinket box are cherubs in various lighthearted scenes: Chasing a butterfly, playing with dogs, dancing and playing instruments, and blowing horns whilst in a cart pulled by a lion wearing a crown.
Inside lid and bottom is a circular stamp which reads: \"WEDGWOOD OF ETRURIA & BARLASTON, MADE IN ENGLAND, EMBOSSED QUEEN\'S WARE\". Then to the right of the stamp reds a large \"5\".
