Vintage 1976 mounted Goliath beetle specimen in acrylic display case. The original label on the back reads “Goliathus goliathus (M), Africa, September 22, 1976, Butterfly Art Company, San Diego, California.” This is a real preserved male Goliath beetle specimen, measuring approximately 93mm body length, displayed in a clear acrylic shadowbox-style case.
Great piece for collectors of natural history, entomology, oddities, curiosities, vintage insect displays, museum-style decor, or science-themed collections.
Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition. The beetle appears mostly intact, but there is a loose/broken leg or claw piece inside the case. Acrylic display has visible age-related wear including light scratches, scuffs, dust, and minor discoloration. Original label is still attached on the back. Please see all photos for exact condition.
