The Prophecy of the Popes is a series of 112 Latin phrases, first published in 1595 and attributed to 12th-century archbishop Saint Malachy, that purportedly predicts the Catholic popes from Celestine II to the day of the final judgment. The prophecy is likely a 16th-century concoction, though some believers today claim that Pope Francis was the final pope named in the prophecy. In this work, Gorgeu argues in favor of the veracity of the prophecy.
