A Rare, SIGNED copy of Great Son, "A Novel Of Character" by Edna Ferber.
This is an Early Printing of the First Edition, and there aren't many of these around. It was published in 1945 by Doubleday, Doran & Company.The original dust jacket is pretty worn and has some significant tears, but the book itself is in very good condition with minimal wear and no markings--other than the bold signature of Edna Ferber herself on the first blank page. Please refer to photos for condition.The BONUS is a newspaper clipping from 1945 detailing Ms. Ferber's visit to Indiana when she was helping to sell war bonds. I acquired the book a number of years ago from the person (recently deceased) who actually went to the rally where she had Ferber sign her copy--an interesting bit of history on its provenance!
