This hard-to-find vintage flag holder is an awesome early accessory, a metal patriotic shield paired with its original handlebar mount, designed for use on bicycles, motorcycles, and even early hot rod setups. These were commonly seen from the 1930s through the 1950s, often sold at parades, fairs, and military events. Finding the holder and the original bar mount still together is extremely uncommon, which makes this a standout piece for collectors.
The metal shield displays classic Americana styling with stars and stripes and is connected to a five-slot wire rack designed to hold five individual flag poles. Ideal for display, restoration projects, or anyone who collects early bike and motorcycle accessories.
What makes this specific piece incredibly rare and hard to find is the mounting mechanism. While most antique flag brackets utilize a cheap bolt-on strap, this premium version features a heavy-duty, spring-loaded handle clamp structure. It functions similarly to a strong tension clamp, allowing the user to easily compress the wire handles to expand the jaws and securely attach it over a protruding fixture.
Additionally, the tips of the clamping legs are equipped with their original thick, black rubberized protective guards. This crucial design feature ensures that the strong metal spring tension will not scratch or mar delicate nickel, chrome, or painted surfaces when mounted.
The back of the shield is fitted with a 5-port fan bracket designed to hold miniature handheld parade flags on wooden dowels.

Condition: Very good vintage condition with expected age wear. Shows normal signs of use such as scratches, light oxidation, and surface wear, all consistent with genuine vintage pieces. Solid, complete, and full of character.
