Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic early 20th-century American Impressionist oil landscape painting by celebrated artist Haidee Kenyon (1876–1944). Born in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, Kenyon studied and taught art in Chicago before relocating to San Diego, California, in 1926. Her original landscape works are quite scarce on the market. This particular piece features an exceptional display of plein air Impressionism, beautifully capturing dappled sunlight filtering through a dense grove of trees onto the forest floor. The palette relies on soft yellows, lavenders, and earthy tones rendered with quick, feathery, textured brushstrokes typical of her distinctive style. The painting is housed in its gorgeous, period-accurate, multi-tiered wood frame with gold-leaf corner accents. The piece is physically marked with the artist's last name "Kenyon" written on the reverse side.
