Our Happy Mistakes are handmade Wild Pigment Co. watercolor paints that didn\'t quite meet the physical standards of our regular collection—but still make beautiful paint.
These particular Happy Mistakes were made with a binder formulation containing gum arabic, honey, and vegetable glycerin. The additional humectants caused some of these paints to remain softer or tackier than our standard half pans, even after an extended drying period.
Rather than waste perfectly usable watercolor, we\'re offering them at a discounted price for artists who don\'t mind a little imperfection.

WHAT MAKES THEM A \"HAPPY MISTAKE\"?
These paints may:
• Remain softer or tackier than a traditional dry watercolor pan
• Have an uneven, imperfect, or slightly sticky surface
• Show cosmetic imperfections from the drying process
• Require slightly different handling than a hard, fully dried watercolor pan
The paint itself is intended to remain usable and rewet with water. These are discounted because their physical consistency does not meet the standard I want for Wild Pigment Co.\'s regular watercolor line.

Each paint is individually made and poured in small batches by Wild Pigment Co.
Our watercolor binder includes gum arabic, distilled water, wildflower honey, vegetable glycerin, and clove oil, combined with carefully selected pigments.
Because these are handmade paints, natural variations between colors and pans are part of the process.
