This is the Twisted Retreat exclusive special edition of Logan Spurgeon\'s debut horror novel, produced for the February 2026 subscription box. It has never been read and remains in brand new condition throughout.
Physical details: Red metallic lettering on the cover, sprayed edges, and unique decorative endpapers. The book includes a special bound-in signature page signed by the author. About the book:
Hinterland follows Kestrel, a young man who wakes in a remote wilderness with no memory of who he is. Thirteen strangers surround him — a doomsday cult whose purpose is a ritual feast at the mountain of their gods, designed to bring about the end of the world. Kestrel has to play along while searching for any way out, with winter closing in and hunters tracking the group. Spurgeon drew directly from his own years inside a radical evangelical sect that became a doomsday cult, and that firsthand knowledge gives the novel a raw authenticity that sets it apart from most cult horror. Atmospheric and unsettling throughout, with body horror alongside the religious dread.
