Hornby OO/HO Scale R3461 LNER Thompson L1 (In transition BR livery) no. 67702 For Sale

This is a Hornby LNER Thompson L1. Its in the livery a few of them carried for about a year or two after nationalization, so it has its LNER apple green with its BR running number. This model is in great condition with the exception of the two missing lamps on the from running board (photo shown, thanks amazon 🙄). It runs VERY well, but it does have the relatively well documented issue where Hornby way over engineered the front single wheel pony trucks for some of their locomotives, which causes them to tilt to the side when moving forward. Due to that, this is set up for backwards running (with the rear buffer beam details all added, and the front buffer beam details added and cut to accommodate the coupler). and ive never had an issue with it (I also never seemed to have an issue with it running forwards either, other than the slightly crooked look of the engine as it ran forwards due to the pony trucks for some issue). This engine has served me very well for the time Ive had it, but its time for it to find a new home. Don\'t hesitate to reach out with any questions!
