Recounts the author\'s ancestors descending from the Abraham Hosier and Lucy Key family of Montgomery Ohio and the Ezekiel Irwin and Anna Martin family of Lebanon, Warren County, Ohio.
The author (born Lucinda J Irwin) was born around 1851 and was raise in Terre Haute, Indiana and the family also lived in Dayton, Ohio I believe. The book also recounts various aspects of her life, trips she took and other members of her family. Includes photos.

Her maternal grandparents were Abraham Hosier, born in 1773 and died in 1852, and Lucy Key, born in 1791 and died in 1865. Abraham and Lucy Hosier had numerous children who would become Lucinda\'s aunts and uncles, including an unnamed female child born in 1809 who lived until 1888, William Hosier who lived from 1815 to 1882, Robert Hosier who had a shorter life span from 1822 to 1850, Sarah Hosier born in 1824, Abraham Hosier who lived from 1827 to 1909, Lucinda Jane Hosier born in 1828 and died in 1900, Nancy Jane Hosier who lived from 1831 to 1867, and Jacob J Hosier who was born in 1834 and died in 1904.
Lucinda\'s parents were William Irwin, born in 1827, and Catharine Anna Hosier, born in 1831, who was one of the daughters of Abraham and Lucy Hosier. William and Catharine Anna were married on June 25, 1850, in Montgomery, Ohio, United States. This union produced seven children, making Lucinda part of a large family typical of the mid-nineteenth century.
The children of William Irwin and Catharine Anna Hosier included Lucinda J. Irwin herself, born in 1852 and identified as the author in this genealogical record. Her siblings were John A. Irwin, born in 1853, Amanda E. Irwin who lived from 1854 to 1892, William P. Irwin born in 1859, Elizabeth M. Irwin born in 1861, Frank Barnes Irwin who lived from 1864 to 1916, and the youngest, Emery Braden Irwin, who had the longest lifespan among the siblings, living from 1867 to 1961.
