A gently worn first edition of the celebrated classic, Go Tell It On The Mountain by James Baldwin published in 1953. This was the first novel American writer and civil rights activist James Baldwin ever published and while this copy has some wear to it, the book is still in decent condition.
This copy is without the original dust jacket, however inside the first page is the original synopsis of the novel pasted to the book. The spine is loose in one place (see photographs) and there is some wear throughout the book. That being said, it does not smell nor is there any mold or other types of damage to the pages. This is an opportunity to own a 1st edition copy of African American literary history!
