Large signed studio art pottery bowl by Michigan ceramic artist Jan Sadowski. This substantial wheel-thrown stoneware bowl features a striking abstract glaze composition in black, brown, rust, cream, olive and blue tones. The interior has expressive geometric and free-form decoration, while the exterior features a dark brown/black variegated glaze.
The underside is hand signed “SADOWSKI.” Sadowski was a Michigan studio potter and former assistant to noted ceramic artist John Glick at Plum Tree Pottery.
Measures approximately 12.25” in diameter × 4” deep.
