While its base well is 40', it can accept larger containers such as 45', 48' and even 53' in the top position, making the car a versatile addition to a railroad's intermodal services. The MAXI-I car with its five shorter platforms has a greater capacity even though the individual wells are a smaller size. The cars feature detailed bodies, authentic decoration, appropriate trucks with metal wheels and Kato magnetic knuckle couplers.Each MAXI-I 5-Unit Well Car platform includes a pair of 53' containers (10 per 5-unit set) with internal magnets for stability while the car is running on your layout.FEATURES: Heavier material steel compound plastic provides stable operation with or without container loads
